Trauma Therapy
A trauma is an emotional wound or shock that creates substantial, lasting damage to an individual's psychological well being. Most traumatic events are horrible; however, people can also be traumatized by experiences that might not seem particularly troubling to others. Sometimes the traumatic events are remembered and sometimes they are repressed.

Psychotherapy does not have to take a long time and it does not have to be painful. People who engage a therapist are not looking for sympathy or friendship. Dr. Finch is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) is used to eliminate the negative influence from past events. This method of treatment is combined with other psychotherapy approaches to work for recovery.
